The Hidden Ones, the Carriers, and the Call to Come and Dine

I found myself praying today for those in authority over us.

Not because leadership is failing in obvious ways—but because I sense the Lord doing something quieter, deeper, and far more searching than public correction.

In this hour, the Lord is not amplifying voices.

He is weighing hearts.

And what He is entrusting next will not be carried by those with the largest platforms, but by those willing to obey without being seen.

That prayer opened a deeper reflection for me today.

Lord, continue to purify the hearts of leadership. Heal what has been wounded. Deliver us from insecurity, pride, and fear. Teach us again the beauty of surrender—submission not only to You, but to one another. Holding a role or responsibility does not change the call to humility or the posture of servanthood. Teach us to regard others as greater than ourselves.

Each of us is a hidden treasure of the Lord.

As pastors and friends, we seek to find Jesus in one another.

As believers, we seek Him in our circumstances and in the people He places around us.

We put on the new man.

We lay aside everything that encumbers us.

These are our true treasures: wisdom, knowledge, understanding—and the Body of Christ.

Not just the gifted.

Not just the responsible.

Not just the strong or the talented.

But the least.

Yes—even the least among us.

Not the loudest voice.

Not the most dynamic presence.

But the servant.

Mary carried the Presence.

One moment. One encounter. One angel.

Her obedience—her submission—her simple yes allowed the Presence of God to hover, to overshadow her, and to plant His seed within her womb.

This happened in a culture where women were not the normal carriers of God’s Word, nor participants in religious authority. And yet, God chose two women to birth a revival that would change the course of human history.

Elizabeth and Mary were chosen to herald a holy revolution.

We know this story well—at least in our heads. But in this season, the Lord is pressing it into our hearts.

Neither Elizabeth nor Mary had a platform.

Neither sought recognition.

Neither used their assignment to elevate themselves.

And yet—they started a movement.

They didn’t gather followers.

They didn’t announce their calling.

They simply obeyed.

And Heaven moved.

To those who feel important because of their assignment—and to those who feel small, overlooked, or unseen—the Lord is speaking clearly:

I am leveling the playing field.

I exalt whom I choose.

I allow falling and failing for the sake of healing and for the sake of My Kingdom.

Do not despise your small beginnings.

And do not boast in your big splash.

I am using both—the great and the small, the visible and the hidden—to carry and to birth what I am doing in this hour.

A fresh wind.

A Kingdom wave.

And to those who do not boast, but submit…

To those who obey without applause…

Get ready.

Get ready to ride the wave.

It will be the greatest ride of your life since the moment you asked Me into your heart.

Those who move from saved to servant—from calling Me Savior to truly making Me Lord—will see signs and wonders.

I am rewarding the faithful ones.

The quiet ones.

The obedient ones.

My Stevens.

My Annas.

My Simeons.

Big or small—if your heart is yielded, come and dine.

I leave no one out.

You have a choice, just as Martha and Mary did.

Choose wisely.

I am calling to you.

Come and dine.
